Port Plastics & Tooling aim to help the environment as much as we can by working to reduce our Carbon Footprint. In 2012, 180 solar panels were installed on the roof of our workshop to help achieve our environmental goals, Since then approximately 50% of our energy requirements are now generated from these solar panels. Solar panels are a growing part of the world’s diverse energy solution and we are proud to be a part of that here at Port Plastics & Tooling.
Port Plastics & Tooling recycle plastic materials that are leftover from the manufacture of some products or products that are physically damaged and don’t meet the requirements of being satisfactory to our customers.
The way we recycle these materials is by using a plastic regrind machine. The machine crushes the leftovers into smaller pieces and it is then mixed with non-recycled plastics to create a better plastic. This is cost saving and environmental friendly.
